I read this book for school a couple of years ago. Its amazing, eye-opening, and moving. I cant wait for this movie to come out. I hope it stays true to the book. Wow, Rihanna will always be my fav 😍 what a queen 👸🏾. A very valuable one in that it shows how injustice (such as but not only racism) can become institutionalised within a society. It starts with a precipitate rush to judgement, based on bigoted attitudes, and spreads ever more perfidiously as people seek to defend the original decision and cover up errors made, in a process that can become quite horrific and destroy the fabric of the society they are misguidedly attempting to 'protect.
In this film (spoiler alert) belated justice hinged on two people eventually being moved by their consciences. But justice should never have to depend on that!
PS: if they really wanted to force the issue on capital punishment, they could've shown the execution of Richardson. It would've moved the film into the realm of 'horror story' but aren't films without mayhem or ghouls, like "Room" and "Gone Girl" nevertheless horror stories anyway.

I love the trucking shot at 1:42 ! I don't see that very often. Can't wait to watch it on the big screen. This reminds me of “The Hurricane” movie with Denzel, it seems to have the same format!🚶🏾‍♂️😎.

I would love to sit between Michael B Jordan and Jamie Foxx and hear them talk in their raspy voice 🙈😻. Just Mercy was Amazing, Powerful performances by Michael B. Jordan & Jamie Foxx, and Brie Larson did a terrific job as well. This film is remarkable it connects you emotionally to this film. It's truly hard not to feel some type of way regardless of your ethnic background. The plot and direction were put together seamlessly, absolutely impeccable. For 2020 Just Mercy has to be the front runner for the film of the year and Best Actor performance Michael B. Jordan, and Best Supporting Actor Jamie Foxx as well. I can already feel what this movie is going to do to me. oooh larwd.

The acting was impeccable, on all parts, not just any actor or actress but all. Watching this film angered me to my core. If it doesn't do the same for you then you're oblivious to the truth about the oppression that's been going on for over four hundred years. This film, it sucks you in and opens your mind to the reality of how life is in America and the rest of the world. If I were the marketing person, Id definitely add a slide highlighting the film is co-written and directed by Short Term 12 director, Destin Daniel Cretton. Do you see this. Yeah, I'm talking to you, Parade the Musical. Like a BOSS! That look when she said “Tell em to Pull up.” Aight then. Ill remember dat RiRi.

I like how Jamie told the audience to stop that at 1:37 shows he has major respect for Michael B. Jordan.

Watching this after seeing the video of the bullying of an asian elderly in San Francisco in the midst of virus outbreak by a group of black people. I cant understand.

This movie looks great. Very inspiring. Just wait the Brie Larson haters on YouTube get on her case on her amazing performance in this film. This will show the haters their true colors.

Definitely watching this tomorrow.
